Within our Development & Engineering division, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for Nijmegen and Eindhoven location to expand our team. NTS is specialized in the development and manufacturing of state-of-the-art precision mechanics and mechatronics modules. As a Mechanical Engineer you are part of the introduction of new modules that push the boundaries of technology, in the semicon industry or in the field of micro- and nano-manufacturing. Operating within the department Development & Engineering you are the linking pin to the NTS Norma manufacturing environment. Accelerate along with us!

Job Responsibilities:

• As a Mechanical Design Engineer you develop, design and detail high-quality mechanical and mechatronic modules and systems
• You realize high-quality technical designs that meet the specifications within the budget and planning
• You draw up the specifications, contribute to concept designs, carry out calculations and determining test specifications
• You determine the technical feasibility and risk analyzes in collaboration with the Lead Engineer
• You align and improve your design based on manufacturability input of the supply chain
• As part of problem-solving team you analyze an issue at manufacturing and propose technical solutions
• You will stay up-to-date on the newest developments in your knowledge area

• A completed bachelor or master degree in Engineering (Mechanical, mechatronics or similar)
• 3-6 years' experience in mechanical or mechatronic system design, preferably in a multidisciplinary technical environment
• Knowledge of materials, precision mechanics and construction principles
• Knowledge of design principles and processes related to product cleanliness
• Experience in collaboration with a small team of engineers
• Experience with current development methods, production techniques and discipline-specific technologies such as CAD systems and FEM calculations
• You are accurate and have attention to details
• Conceptual thinker with an eye for detail, creative and structured is plus
• Experience with 3D CAD software, NX/SolidEdge experience is plus
• Good knowledge of the English language in speech and writing.
