Tijdens de Bridge to Liberation Experience op 19 september treedt Het Gelders Orkest op met mezzosopraan Tania Kross, de Ambassadeurs van de Vrijheid, Douwe Bob, Rapper Gers Pardoel, de hitsensatie Dotan, jazztrompettist Eric Vloeimans en DJ Isis. Het Gelders Orkest en de artiesten spelen op een podium op de Nederrijn. Het is de eerste keer in haar 125-jarig bestaan dat het orkest het podium deelt met een rapper.
Op 19 september 2014 wordt in Arnhem één van de grootste en belangrijkste veldslagen in de Tweede Wereldoorlog, Operation Market Garden met daarin de Slag om Arnhem, herdacht. Het wordt een zeer bijzondere herdenking met een centrale rol voor de brug die 70 jaar geleden centraal stond: de John Frostbrug. Aansluitend aan de herdenking in aanwezigheid van de veteranen om 18.30 uur op het Airborneplein vindt op de John Frostbrug het multimediaspektakel Bridge to Liberation Experience plaats dat het publiek meeneemt in het verhaal van Operation Market Garden, de Slag om Arnhem, de terugtrekking, evacuatie en de wederopbouw van de stad.
Er komen zes grote schermen rond de brug waarop het spektakel voor de toeschouwers te volgen is.
