Van 9 tot en met 14 december opent er een bijzondere pop-up store bij het Koningsplein in Nijmegen. Deze pop-up store heeft de naam De Debuutshop en is gevuld met debuterende auteurs die zichzelf gaan profileren als schrijvers en hun boeken tijdens deze week gaan promoten, signeren en verkopen.
De organisatie van De Debuutshop is in handen van Thiery Thielemans, auteur van het boek ‘Hotel Mama’ dat medio september is verschenen via uitgever Kaft Media. Thielemans geeft collega-auteurs met De Debuutshop een podium om zich tijdens deze week te presenteren en om hierbij hun boek op een aansprekende manier meer bekendheid te geven. Gedurende de week van De Debuutshop in Nijmegen is er dagelijks een gevarieerd programma waarbij auteurs voorlezen uit eigen werk, signeersessies houden en bezoekers vragen mogen stellen aan de aanwezige auteurs met betrekking tot het schrijfproces, de totstandkoming van het boek en de uiteindelijke uitgave. Uiteraard mogen er ook andere vragen gesteld worden.
Er is tijdens De Debuutshop een zeer gevarieerd aanbod van auteurs, schrijvend in diverse genres. Zo zijn er schrijvers van kinderboeken, fantasy verhalen, (autobiografische) romans, thrillers en literatuur. Gezamenlijk nemen deze auteurs met hun boeken plaats in de volledig in kerstsfeer gebrachte Debuutshop in Nijmegen.
De week van 9 t/m 14 december belooft een verrassende week te worden waarin lezend Nederland kennis kan maken met nieuwe auteurs en hun boeken!
